This book was phenomenal and really helped me kick my reading rut, I read it in less then two days! I find that this type of Love Actually-style storytelling can be hard to get right because it can end up lacking depth or feeling disorienting switching among so many people so often. This book, however, had none of those issues. Clark is an expert at providing enough dimension to every character that you end up equally invested in every storyline which kept it fast-paced and hard to put down. I also found the character development impressive when you look at how few pages each story actually gets within the whole of the book. While it is definitely a light and fun read, it also does delve into some deeper topics like commitment, grief, racism, as well as the LGBTQIA+ experience.
