Every time I (re)read one of Erin Morgenstern's tales I am overwhelmed with a different emotion, but I now realise that ultimately I just long for the feeling of belonging to a place more magical than I can ever fathom.

I had definitely forgotten most of the story, and I do think I could appreciate it even better this time around, but that is one hell of a lovely book.

This book is definitely as captivating and enchanting as everyone says it is. While the characters may not always feel super deep and some parts of the story less compelling, it truly knows how to keep you reading (this is true for me, at least). The first half of this book may be slow to some, but personally I enjoyed it quite a lot. As my dear friend who recommended it to me said: "I think this book feels a bit like visiting a place more than anything, and i love that!". I love it too, particularly because this place is such a magical place to be.

(also yes I give very many books 4/5 stars, I just have a lot of love in my heart and stories are nice)
