The Midnight Library by Matt Haig

4.0

Audio: Read by Carey Mulligan, which was a delight! Her voice is just so soothing and wonderful so I was already in love just from that. The story is a smidge predictable, but I still liked it nonetheless. It was an interesting way to show you how different your life could be when you make slightly different choices...the slightest thing can change the whole trajectory. I find things like that very fascinating and thought provoking. The main character was a little whiney I thought, and not 100% likeable so honestly I was in it for the rest of the stories, without caring much what she ended up doing in the end. This was a decent, thoughtful and interesting look at a life and what would you do if you could make new choices. I recommend it, bearing in mind this isn't great literature, and not all the characters are worth rooting for, there's still a good story there. Especially if you do the audio!
