Wow, I really hated this book . I can't believe I actually finished it, it took me forever!! 

The whole story is just so sad. Elli is miserable all the time, and her life is incredibly depressing. And the violent kinks she and Sin share? I know it's a dark romance, but would it have killed them to include a bit more tenderness and focus on aftercare? It was just too much for me. The awful things he said to her when she was already feeling so down were horrible. Couldn't he have just included her in his plan? And why didn't Sin think about the trade to save himself too? That part made no sense to me.

There was just too much trauma in this book. Honestly, I ended up skipping most of the sex scenes halfway through because I just wanted the plot to move faster and get to the end.

Now, I need to read at least three fluffy books to recover from this one.
