Daddy Long-Legs: by Jean Webster

4.25

I remember loving this when I first read it - however, this time around I can't help but notice its problems...
I love Jean Webster's writing style, her characters and stories, it's such a joy to experience her works. She was really quite forward thinking and I absolutely adore her mind and whatever she puts into her characters' mouth becomes gold. Only thing - major thing, unfortunately - is the relationship in here...
getting a barely 18 y.o. sheltered orphan girl for a bride seems like something DiCaprio would do...

I still prefer Dear Enemy or her Patty-books, I feel those are just as sweet and funny, even if they happen to have minor flaws.
