4.5/5. This book was so fun! It was very Bro and the Beast meets How To Train Your Human Omega. I adore Reuben. He’s such a fun narrator. His personality is so real to me. I love how he’s flawed, but still wonderful. I also loved Vo’ak. He was such a secret softie and I love his possessiveness over Reuben. Also, Vo’ak being patient with Reuben since he’s human and has different customs is so sweet. I love the language barrier, the differing customs, Also the issues with the revolting tribe was surprisingly fun. I’m usually not super into politics - even alien ones - but this was done in such a fun way. I was left with one major question by the end of it, but I don’t want to post a spoiler so I’ll leave it at that. Overall, SO fun! 3/5 spice levels.
