Book #70 of 2024: I’m a big fan of the original Elite Guardians! I felt a lot more connected and immersed than with this novel.

This is book one of the new series and it has some great moments but I did find it unnecessarily long. My mind wandered sometimes. I am not a fan of this narrator and I am hoping she’s not the narrator for the others which I bought well before listening to this one. I find her over-the-top at times.

I really did appreciate the character of Grey. It shows how capable people with disabilities are. We all have them in one way or another. How we deal with them is another matter. I also liked how Christina’s walls came down. And who can resist Boss, the dog?!

I won this audiobook from Sunrise Publishing so I extend my thanks to them. No review was required.
