The Highland Dragon's Lady by Isabel Cooper

Ignore the cover art. And the title. Yes, the hero is a highland dragon, but think Loki more than Thor. The heroine drives her own car (a Benz Velo), has bohemian friends, and has psychic powers. The setting is a late Victorian house party, complete with spiritualists and a malicious ghost. There are a couple of sex scenes, but they're not super graphic. The hero and heroine talk and laugh with each other, are honest with each other (no Big Mis here), and believably grow to care about each other. The ending is arguably either a HEA or a HFN depending on how you want to look at it -- I want to look at it from the perspective of reading about them in the next book.
