I was given an ARC by BookSirens in return for an honest review.
This book popped up on my recommended list, and I'm glad I picked it up. The only reason that it is four stars instead of five is that it was a little bit too much satire/comedy that was being used to tell the story - that's all.
If you really enjoy stories about the Arthurian myth, this is an excellent one to pick up, and one that will doubtlessly grow as well. I'm glad I got the chance to read it, and I'm sorry I didn't enjoy it more, but I know at least one personal friend who would love it as it is right now, and that's pretty impressive.
This is also good for people who like convoluted romances, fantasy, magic, and someone who puts a lot of research into who they decide to add in their story - a lot of the names are popular throughout mythology, and you'll be excited to see some of the ones he managed to add, in a way that made sense for the story as well.
All in all - a good debut novel. A little too comedic for my personal taste, but good if you want to get lost in a story for a day and not have to think too much about the plot that's going on. Essentially, as advertised on the blurb. Congrats!
