The Neighbor Favor by Kristina Forest
medium-paced
5.0
This one immediately pulled me into the "Loved" thought with its opener of the email communication back and forth without two main characters. It was so cute, and let's face it, a lot of dating/meet cutes are via the internet these days. But why does the cute emails end in a ghosting?
Lily and Nick both have things in their lives, holding them back from moving forward with important things in their lives. When they meet again, Lily thinking it's their first time meeting, and they both find something within each other that helps them find the motivation to move forward.
I loved both Lily and Nick and their love story. Although sometimes, the non communication piece that we often see in romance books can grind my gears, I still think this one was so cute. I loved watching Lily find her voice to become the children's author like she wants, even though it was work getting there. I also loved how Nick overcomes what was holding him back from completing his book.
Two people, falling in love and books are involved... can't beat that! If you haven't read this one yet... you're in for a treat! This would be a great read in between any of your heavier books. Something light sweet and guaranteed to place many smiles on your face!!
