My Dear Henry: A Jekyll & Hyde Remix by Kalynn Bayron
dark
- Diverse cast of characters? Yes
3.5
I wish I knew more about the original story, more than just the basic stuff everyone know, because I think I would have enjoyed to be able to contrast and compare more.
I liked how race and homosexuality were woven into the story. They were a major part of it in fact, a little more even than the other book I've read from the Remix series.
I don't have much more to say, sadly. It was good. The audiobook was well narrated. Gabriel is an interesting character, and I liked following his POV throughout the story. There were times however when I felt like he was lost in the sauce a little, when trying to explain to others how Henry wasn't himself. But maybe that was the intent, him coming off like a teenager that cannot comprehend he's been fooled or something.
