- the book was an easy read, unlike the first book

» disliked «
- all of the characters, every single one of them
- did not see the connection between Grey and Lia Mara, it felt really forced
- how Rhen and Grey's relationship deteriorated in this book, very unnatural in my opinion
- the plot where a prince/king has a potential sibling that could challenge their place as heir, idk why this just has always annoyed me
- Lia Mara is so boring and passive
- we get practically non of Rhen and Harper in this book, and they are reduced to the worst parts of themselves
- it is revealed that whoever
kills the queen becomes the new ruler... so why was it never brought up as an option?? also, the fact that Lia Mara becomes queen was just too perfect and cliche for me
