The premise was intriguing - the female lead wakes up as the already married Princess Consort of Prince Duan and he already has a small harem of women. I thought this was very refreshing, she's starting off from total rock bottom and we're gonna see her level up and find love with Prince Duan, right? Well, within just one or two chapters, Prince Duan is on her side and infatuated with her already lol.

After that is your usual predictable palace intrigue cnovel - lots of double talk, manipulative schemes etc. This is very similar to Eight Treasures Trousseau by the same author - meaning that it feels like there are no stakes and nothing's happening. Just a lot of people drinking tea and talking. I recommend Qian Shan Cha Ke for more exciting and bingeable palace intrigue stories.
