Thanks to Partners in Crime for my copy of One Dead, Two to Go by Elena Hartwell

The first book in the Eddie Shoes series is a thrilling ride that keeps you engaged from beginning to end. As a female private investigator, Eddie Shoes is a force to be reckoned with. The book does a fantastic job of highlighting the intricate and dynamic relationship between Eddie and her mother, Chava, who join forces to take on a case involving Eddie's client, Kendra. Despite their different personalities and backgrounds, the two women work together seamlessly, proving that a great team can come in all shapes and sizes.

The introduction of Chance, adds an exciting new layer to the story, leaving readers eager to see how he will interact with Eddie in future books. The plot twists and suspenseful moments in the book had me on the edge of my seat, as I eagerly turned the pages to find out what would happen next.

Overall, I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a captivating and well-written mystery novel. The author's skillful writing and character development keep readers invested in the story, and I cannot wait to see where the Eddie Shoes series goes next.
