“Your love is a terrible thing.” —Lord Camden Tremaine
one thing about me . . . i can and will eat up relationship dynamics that are entrenched with history ‼️ camden and gigi are not wholly likeable characters, nor are they wholly moral characters but i simply love watching them bite and snarl and fume in their wilting marriage as they both fight their hidden love for one another—it is so FLAVORFUL I’M CHOMPING ON THEM. [sighs] BUT. i do have my qualms with this book mostly because, while i do love watching old people fall in love, the whole subplot of gigi’s mom and the duke completely derails the pacing and slows it down to a monumental level like i just wanted to see these unbearable married mfs 😭
