Shorter Works By Jane Austen by Jane Austen
3.0
Lady Susan was probably the highlight for me, but the tagged-on epilogue-ish ending felt a little perfunctory. Love And Freindship, once I got the gist of what was going on, was a bit of a hoot and was the sort of juvenilia that most of us would commit murder to achieve, but is really only of interest to serious fans. The history of England is a delight as are several other of the shorter pieces. Overall, though, this is really a collection for completists and people interested in the development of the author as she grew older and more competent. If I was more of a fan I would lap it up as I do with similar works from other writers.
