Înainte de recenzie fac un mic anunț! Cărțile din seria Artemis Fowl pot fi citite independent fără probleme (la începutul fiecărei cărți autorul explică cine sunt Artemis, Butler, legăturile lor și mai ales alte detalii aferente cărții respective). Deci nu fiți timizi în a lua prima carte din serie care vă pică în mână. Artemis este un băiat deștept, urmașul conacului Fowles și mai ales un prieten devotat propriului bodyguard. Nu vorbește prea mult și nu are o copilărie ușoară, însă când deschide gura acesta spune cele mai inteligente lucruri. În cartea Incidentul din Antarctica, Artemis împreună cu Butler dau o fugă până la ruși, ajutați de spiriduși și zâne, pentru a-l salva pe domnul Fowles (tatăl dispărut care este crezut mort până la proba contrarie).

Before this review I want to make an annoucement: The books from the Artemis Fowles series can be read without a specific order (at the very beginning of every book the author explains who Artemis and Butler are and talks about their relationship and other specific details). So don't be shy to try whatever book you discover from this series. Artemis is a genius boy, the heir of Fowles Residence and also a true friend for his own bodyguard. He never talks too much and does not have a wonderful childhood, but when he opens his mouth he says brilliant things. In the book, The Arctic Incident, Artemis and Butler take a run to the Russians, helped along by brownies and fairies in order to save Mr. Fowles who was declared dead until that moment (out of the blue, the father disappeared).
