An interesting take on vampires. It is definitely not my favorite read of the year so far but I enjoyed it way more than some of the ''stream-of-consciousness sad girl literature'' that has been selling like hotcakes these days. The book has some elements of horror but it also discussed coming-of-age (what a funny thing to say about a vampire) and the complexities of mother-daughter relationships, which I always enjoy. The main character, to me, was not very remarkable but was definitely interesting enough to keep me hooked. Overall, a good, short, medium-paced read I would totally recommend.
