My gosh, this book. I went from feeling so sad for William (probably more like throughout the book to be honest)  to being hopeful for him, to being a little angry but understanding, to being nervous for what's to come. 

Julia, my initial thoughts for her were that I did not care for her at all. She seemed to only care and think about herself. Towards the end, I did feel a tad bit sorry for her, but I still felt a certain kind of way about her.

This family drama was so well written that it had me reading to find out how these characters' lives will progress, fall apart, and be put back together. Looking back at each one, they all had some issues to overcome, and it seems that just when there may be some hope, something else happens. 

Although this one is a heartwrenching book, it was so, so good! It's always hard for me to say this about a sad and/or depressing book, but I LOVED it! Oprah's bookclub picks are usually a miss for me, but this one, 🤌🏽. My initial thought was that I liked it a lot, but now that I'm reflecting, I loved it. If it's not on your radar, it should be!
