Piranesi by Susanna Clarke

Piranesi is truly the kindest person ever. Every time I think about him I just feel calm and content. His daily tasks are described with such care, he is so wonderful. I love him, the statues, and the House immensely.

This book made me realise I have real trouble with endings, as I had trouble with this one. That being said, it has been a while since I have been this intrigued by and interested in a book! I could not for the life of me put it down (not that I had a reason to do so), but I also could not stop trying to guess at the mystery. The atmosphere of the House was also wonderful (albeit a bit haunting at times) so I really could not have higher praise for this story. Truly one of the best books I have read so far.
