Everyone in This Room Will Someday Be Dead by Emily Austin

5.0

"I find it so bizarre that I occupy space, and that I am seen by other people."

gilda is one of the most relatable protagonists in any type of fiction i've ever read. i love the way the author dealt with her hypochondria and anxieties. it felt so real, and like a situation i could've lived. gilda is a mess. a lovable, crazy, endearing, & relatable mess all wrapped up into one young-adult. i get her.

i adored this book. gilda is so witty and her deadpan humor hits almost every single time. i remember crying when i read it because i felt her SO much. i completely understood her and i felt so seen in her character. it's almost like i was meant to read this book when i did with how hard it hit me.

it took me awhile to come up with a review for this one, because for some reason i couldn't (and still can't) seem to articulate why i love this book so much. after i read it, it took me months to even say, "wow. this was so fucking good." and now i'm still here, several months later, struggling with what to say.
