I wanted this to be as great as the first one (the serial killers wife) and sadly it wasn’t. Still good and worth a read but not as gripping as book 1. A good plot about a vet who keeps mysteriously finding dead animals left on her doorstep. Does this have anything to do with the missing person in the village? Is it linked to her past? Lots of twists and turns, it didn’t flow as well as the first and it felt a little bit disjointed. Still an enjoyable read and I’m looking forward to see what she writes next.
