This is one of the books I bought because of the cover. I've found the story more interesting in the beginning, but then it lost my interest throughout the book. I didn't find the plot as engaging. I think the FMC had a great start and I thought she was going to be a badass, but I was slightly dissapointed in her development. There were also moments I've found to be cringy....I caught myself making faces while reading 😅. I probably would not continue the series if I did not already have the second book. And because I'm doing a reading challenge this month, I'll end up reading the second one at some point too (who knows, maybe it's better?).
This would be a 2.75⭐️ read for me, but I'm trying to do better and not rate books low just because I didn't vibe with the story. The writing was not bad, the story was interesting, I think the execution of the "romance" part, could have probably been different? But, at the same time, I'm not a fan of smug MCs and silly stubborn FMC and meaningless conversation between them...
