A MILLION STARS!!!!
If you loved the movie, you will love the book!!! I listened to it and it felt like I was listening to the movie. There is a full cast, which I’m always a fan of. I’m going to go ahead and say it now, this is a favorite book of all time for me. It not only held my attention the whole way through but I was emotionally invested in everything. Skeeter was one of my favorite characters along with Aibileen and Minny. I cried more watching the movie than I did reading the book but most likely because I knew what was coming. The way that Skeeter never really had closure when it came to Constantine leaving had my heart hurting. The way these babies grew to love the help and then one day they just leave 😭 Mae Mobley loved Aibileen so much 💔 If you’ve been wondering if you should read/listen to this book the answer is YES!!!!

💕
Aibileen: “Baby girl, I need you to remember everything I told you. Do you remember what I told you?”
Mae Mobley: “You is kind. You is Smart. You is important”.
