I have not read any of Holly Black's work in the past but I just could not continue, this book was so boring.  There was nothing redeeming about it and I DNF'd pretty early on.  I hated the flat and whiney characters and the pace was mind-numbingly slow. I wouldn't pick up another book by hers again.
