Star Wars: Darth Vader - Dark Lord of the Sith Vol. 2 by Charles Soule
4.5
Rating: 4.5 stars
Yes, I read another Star Wars book Two back to back. I don’t know... been in a Star Wars mood lately I guess.
But this one was super cool. The first volume was ok. It set up General Ackbar and his Calamari dudes (I kid you not, look up their species) as an explanation for all the ships the Rebellion has, but, again, the second one was better than the first. The last volume was incredible. There were so many prequel nods, and again, when you grow up with the prequels all around you, it feels so nostalgic every time they are referenced nowadays. Basically, Vader wants a big castle to fit his growing ego inside so he goes to Mustafar (of all places) and hires this lady to make it for him. But she doesn't do a good enough job so he uses this old relic so communicate with this dead Sith dude to make him the castle instead. As you do.
So the conclusion I still come to is that someone needs to just give Vader his wife back. At least then he has someone to cry to.
