A delightful and enchanting read that engages you in the magical world of faeries through the eyes of the brilliant and somewhat reclusive scholar, Emily Wilde. The novel is a charming blend of fantasy, adventure, and academic intrigue, perfect for fans of detailed world-building and whimsical folklore.
Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries is a delightful book, it took me a few chapters to get into it but halfway through it became very entertaining that I couldn’t put the book down! I am impressed with Fawcett's writing - lyrical and immersive, capturing the beauty and danger of the faerie world with equal skill. The blend of academic tone and fairy-tale magic creates a unique narrative voice that is both authoritative and enchanting.
Highly recommended to readers who enjoy great characters, beautiful writing, and witty dialog, and who don’t mind a slow pace. I'm curious to see how things develop for Emily and Wendell in the next book.
