A slow paced mystery

📚 mystery/ thriller
📚 dual timeline
📚 multi POV

The initial mystery had me intrigue but beyond questioning every character, there wasn’t much plot to fill out this story. May have broken a new record for how fast I have my audiobook playing so I could get to some of the action/ get some answers.

I recognised the English accent straight away. There’s this old English tv show I’m obsessed with, Skins”
Way to make me feel old

Mini obviously has a lot of mental health problems that remain untreated. She is also clearly delusional regarding her relationship with Ben.

“I thought of all the plans I had made for the two of us. I knew he had felt it too. What had been between us in the part that night”

The story was a dual timeline, whilst assisting in fleshing out the story, it wasn’t also clear when these jumps were made, as it often happened in the middle of a conversation.

There was probably one big reveal partway through the book, but potentially I was too bored by the end to get much out of the final act reveals.
