The Darkest King by Gena Showalter
4.0
I don't think it's a secret now that the heroine is a unicorn shifter. But...really? A unicorn shifter? I never got past that. It's just too weird.
I suppose that it makes sense in a book about William the Ever Randy that there was a lot of emphasis on thinking about having sex, almost having sex, having sex, etc. But it got tedious.
Some questions were answered about William. But I was left with some questions, too.
All in all, I was just okay with the book. Honestly, it was a bit disappointing. But maybe the anticipation built it up too far in my expectations. I'd expected William's book to blow me away, and it didn't.
