The Ashes and the Star-Cursed King by Carissa Broadbent
4.0
I read it with the first one back to back. This one is not as structured as the first one, letting go of the readers hand a little. It is more descriptive with makes it slower pace but that's not a bad thing in fantasy or romance. I think she is a little bit more confident as a writer in this one and she still knows how to tighten the pace. The battle are still fantastic in one to one but get 4 or more characters and it becomes a little bit to messy. It's more of the same and since I ate in like a week so, i say it did the job damn fine. I am going to become a Carissa Broadbent fangirl or at least try since I'm going to read her previous series. I believe in 10 to 20 years she could become an absolute master at writing. For now i hope her book sell like hot cakes for many years to come.
