I know this is one of those books that will stay with me for a long time.
It is the perfect book for this time of year, to read wrapped up in a blanket with a cup of tea and a candle by your side. I know some people were frustrated by the slow paced build-up of the story and characters but I personally think it helps create the general eery and mysterious vibe of the book, which I absolutely loved.
The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because I felt the characters reaction to the main event was a bit unrealistic, and too light for the magnitude of what happened. Especially with Richard, who was the one to whose thoughts we had more access. But I guess maybe that was the point, as they all seemed so detached from the real world.
Still, this definitely became one of my favourite books ❤️
