This was funny at times and some of the characters were cute but overall this just felt a bit all over the place. I know one of the characters is supposed to be somewhat impulsive and lack some self control but at times the craziness just felt too much. I know it is only the first volume but I have known understanding of the magic system worked what-so-ever and we got a little bit of the world but again I am not sure what world setup really is. I just needed a little more information before the bonkers parts. I don't think I am going to continue with the series, despite it being available on KU, as I just don't think it is for me.
