Desert Solitaire by Edward Abbey

5.0

Absolutely wonderful descriptions of the beauty of the desert, and a surprisingly timely case for the preservation of national parks. I was immersed in the storytelling, and right alongside the author with his justified anger over how we ruin the nature around us. But at the same time, the landscape of the story provided for very human moments. I highly recommend, even if you aren't all that into the desert.
