When Kandi Steiner recommended this book, I immediately downloaded it this. While I liked this book, but I didn’t love it. Despite having all the trope I love, grumpy x sunshine, slow burn, marriage of convenience, single dad, this book fell short for me. The slow burn was SLOW to the point where I was shouting “just kiss already”. The scenes that should have occurred at maybe 70% in the book, were at 98% and by that time I was quite honestly done with it.
Another thing I didn’t like was that jump from one scene to another. There were so many scenes, I wanted to read about, and the built up was there, but instead, that was all we got.
The thing I really liked in this book was the relationship between Greer shared with her family. It was so heartwarming to see all of them together and you best believe I was SOBBING during the wedding scene.
I also absolutely LOVED the scenes of Beckett with his daughter! Love me a man who knows how to make braids.
All in all, a pretty good book but not my fave.
