Review: Illusion of Stars is an all new romantasy guaranteed to hook you from the beginning. Sarah intrigued me with this world that is very mush filled with political deception and villainous secrets! I enjoyed seeing how she developed the two MCs from enemies to frenemies to hesitant allies and am looking forward to the finale of this duet!
This book was a fresh take on an enemy to lover fantasy romance and I enjoyed the way she included raw emotion into the plot. The grief and heartache that we see at the beginning may have been my favorite part of the book since it set the premise of how the FMC would grow! I also loved how I was always guessing at what was going to happen and how I never saw that ending coming.
One area I truly enjoyed was how the book was written. I liked how it was written as a recollection of events from notes the FMC was writing from her cell. I also found the premonition and prophecy like themes to be a huge draw in and I was shocked at how the final acts went down! Sarah did an amazing job with her first introduction to this duology!
