Ultra Lovecraftian,

I am personally not a huge sci-fi fan, and once I got through the first little bit of the book I took a pause to decide if I was even going to read this Alex Hunter when I was so uninvested in the general/overall topic.

Decided I would give myself permission to put it down at any time. BUT I couldn't put it down,

Despite being so sick of hearing about the isreal/ Middle East conflict (2023) I had to find out what happened next, despite not caring about the space/sci-fi science I had to find out what happened next, despite not feeling as connected to the HAWK crew (with the exception of uncle )... 5 against my own wishes, I burned through the book in two days.

Credit to Beck for entangling me like a fly in a spiders web. I did really like the Lovecraftian vibes with a monster that was very Ripleys Alien (even thought I found the monster a little boring).
