Nessa's Da lost at cards to his biggest enemy, Cian Donnelly. At one last attempt to win everything back he bet on his daughters virginity, completely unknown to her.
When Cian turned up with his brother to collect his prize he comes across as an uncaring a-hole. Nessa is confused and upset as her life is turned upside down.
I won't say more about the story line so I don't give anything away, other than saying after the initial few chapters Cian is not the a-hole he likes to make everyone think he is.
