Into the Darkest Corner by Elizabeth Haynes

3.0

This book was intriguing but almost twice as long as it needed to be. It was the kind of book I wanted to come back to when I put it down, but it was also a little too full of gruesome details that left me feeling...well, icky. The first half has a mysterious edge to it that's exciting and interesting; the third quarter of it is rather drawn out - you've figured out the mystery at this point and are waiting for the climax and resolution, but instead you're just getting a lot of unnecessary, unpleasant details that don't advance the plot in any way. It picks up again a bit before the end. I would definitely read another book by this author.
