4.5/5 stars

After wanting to read this manga for so long it's has finally happened. Going in at first it was a LOT more chessy then I thought it would be, which is really the reason why I'm giving it a 4.5/5 stars. But after getting past that initial shock of how they introduced Mafuyu and the band, I really liked where the story was going. Getting relationship building between Akihiko and Mafuyu, and how the rest of the band is seeing everything, as well as having their own interpsonal lives, even if it takes a back seat to the main story.

I did not expect Mafuyu's inspirtation and motivation to becoming a guitarist to be because of how his friend/boyfriend had taken their own life. These things can be very iffy and gray when put in media, but so far I like that it's not really been romanticized and that it makes how Mafuyu has been acting make sense. I'm excited to see how other people from his past come in and effect the story.

Akihiko has also been really nice to read, him having this unexplainable feeling towards Mafuyu and wanting to support and uplift him despite not really knowing why he wants too, while at the same time also finding a new found passion for his music is sweet.

The band dynamic is fun and the series so far is living up to it's hype.
