Delay of Game by J. Hutchison

4.0

A pick up in a bar, where names aren’t exchanged, leads to a one night stand that changes everything. Calliope meets Viktor in a bar, and she has no idea he’s a hockey player for the Houston Havoc. She never plans to see him again, until she goes to his game and fate brings them together again.

So much insta love in this book, and it just works. Viktor is one heck of a cinnamon roll MC. As soon as he sees Calliope again he knows he’s never going to let her go. They are forced to battle the media and the negative press (a lot of it fabricated) but they love each other enough to come out on the other side. I loved the positive body image parts of this book. Calliope has low self esteem (thank you loser ex) but Viktor does everything he can to show her how beautiful she is and feel confident in her own skin.

Thank you J, for my ARC of this book. I can’t wait to read your next one in this series.
