Huh, my comments disappeared! I was saying that I think of this book as one of our family favorites, so it was a surprise to me to discover yesterday that neither Rose nor Bean remembered it. It had been that long since we read it. Of course I commenced reading aloud immediately and of course they loved it. Rose took great delight in pointing out that I was crying at the end. I always cry at the end. What a sweet, moving little story.
