For the Hell of It by Cate Corvin
4.0
This is a very creative premise/setting and the book is well-paced. The author has talent. It’s a reverse-harem romance, but I wouldn’t call it slow-burn. The arena fighting got a bit redundant. I skimmed some of it. I didn’t feel a lot of chemistry between the MC’s. Our h’s motivations for falling into intimate relationships (other than revenge toward Gabriel) weren’t terribly relatable. She went through a rapid 180 concerning her sexuality. She’d been very oppressed in heaven so I guess she felt very liberated. Ends on a cliffhanger. One of her beaus is mad at her because she conquered. I doubt I’ll continue the series, but it was fun. Onward!
