A Cup of Salt Tears by Isabel Yap

5.0

may 17: this review will be written tomorrow but omg i really cried over this.

may 18: ✧ — 5 stars with my entire heart.

❝your hips are pale like the moon.❞

i am currently reading the full short story collection never have i ever by isabel yap, but this story is one of my favorites included and i will never shut up about it.

the most beautiful thing about this story, besides the writing and imagery, is the motif of water used by the author in order to communicate grief and healing, and change. i am just so so grateful for finding this book and this story, and the fractured love between the multiple characters really fracture me.

it's so worth it.

❝the moon hanging in the sky is only a moon.❞
