My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite

Yes, I'm putting this book on my thrillers shelf. No, this book is not a thriller.
I really did enjoy this! I think this book achieved what it set out to do. But it being marketed as a high-stakes thriller is grossly inaccurate and somewhat led to me being a bit disappointed with its content. This fits more in the genre of adult-contemporary-literary-fiction; but definitely not a thriller. I really enjoyed the progression of the story, and the non-linear-esque timeline of events. I liked the way it began, and the way it ended. But something was missing from this story, and I think it was the excitement that I expected going in with the preconceived idea that it was a thriller.
With that being said, I definitely don't regret reading this. In fact, I'm super glad to have finally gotten around to it. Perhaps it would be better on a reread?
