Review: Maren Moore does it again in Catching Feelings! Reese Landry is utter perfection in this book and I swooned over every second. Resse and Viv are couple goals for college sports romances everywhere and this book sucker punched me right in the feels! Maren was able to create the perfect reluctant roommate and cinnamon roll hero baseball romance in Catching Feelings and I am sad that this couple’s story is over! 

 

Reese was hands down a book boyfriend of 2024 and everything this man said hit the feels. I was sucked into his story right away and unable to let go until the end! I found that his soft side was my favorite and I adored how he loved Viv so fiercely while he also allowed her to have time to accept his feelings for her without forcing the topic. Viv was also a strong MC in this book and I loved seeing her become Reese’s person. The obliviousness she had in regard to how Reese felt was hilarious but also perfect for how the romance developed between them and I loved how she realized it in her own time. 

 

Maren was able to blend the previous couple and side characters into this book flawlessly and I LOVED seeing Lane, Grant, Eli and Hallie again! I adored the friendship Hallie and Viv had and found that it was an important bit in Viv’s story. The comedic relief Lane and Grant provided was also the perfect addition to Reese’s POV at times and provided the perfect way to show how far he had fallen for Viv. Reese was a total softie by the end of this book and his over-the-top nature had me in stitches while reading since everything he did was at level 100 or above! Maren truly did phenomenal with creating his character and making him the perfect match and balance to Viv’s persona. 

 

I found the spice in this book the be on the line with friends with benefits but also more. The chemistry these two have is off the charts and added fuel to the intensity they felt one another. I enjoyed the snarky banter and wit that Viv and Reese had throughout this book and loved how it set them up for an explosion of steam. Maren was able to give us a book that continued this series seamlessly and set the stage for the next couple to keep us enthralled! 

 

Rating: 5/5, Reese Landry is the GOAT and warmed my heart with his soft and gooey center!
