Anne's House of Dreams by L.M. Montgomery

3.0

I don’t actually have much to say about this one. Like always I love this series, this book included, but it just didn’t it home like the others did. Maybe because Anne is a wife now and before she was a rowdy student and and a fun loving curious college student and then a loving school teacher.

Its just so strange because Anne has all these ambitions and now it’s like they don’t matter now that she’s married. I’m drawing another parallel from Little Women. Jo was the same way pull of ambition and the sky wasn’t the limit but as soon as she fell in love and was married she settled. The writing is still consistent enough to make it believable in Anne’s case but I still miss old Anne.
