I really, really like everything about Elamin Abdelmahmoud.  I love his voice and storytelling, this memoir, and his CBC podcast (Commotion).  I love the concept of 'Elsewhere'.  Highly recommend the audio version to get the full Elamin Abdelmahmoud experience.
