i really loved the atmosphere and realism of this book. i really loved how even the illustrations and small things like the placement of the text affected the pacing and atmosphere of the book. although as much as i loved the illustration style and story, it didn't go anywhere. the characters didn't really need a BIG amount of development, but the story felt like it was a smaller scene in a larger/longer book. i wish there was more to the plot (specifically the characters and their relationships with each other), but what really save it for me was the illustrations.
