Into the Darkest Corner by Elizabeth Haynes

5.0

this is the first book that ive genuinely enjoyed in such a LOOOOONNNGG time
its a gripping-edge-of-your-seat book about abuse
its written in an alternating past/present narrative that revolves around catherine bailey and its just so unsettling to see how she was prior to her attack and how she is now.
i felt very connected to the protagonist and at many times I became paranoid and scared of what might come up next...
this is a dark, horrifying and often disturbing, a sparing-no-details kind of book, its very well written and id highly recommended it
