The Make-Up Test by Jenny L. Howe
1.0
dnf @ 37% + i read the ending
uhh
this book wasn’t very good. i didn’t really like any of the characters (Ethan existed soley so that there would be ONE misogynist out of the PhD Lit students imo), i felt neutral at best about the F/MMC
allison was fine as a character, but the whole sophie drama was literally made up in her head. i’ll give her props for sticking with her “i don’t want to have a relationship with my horrible father” mindset. letting go of toxic people is healthy.
colin was also… fine. i guess? he didn’t really have a personality besides his ‘quirks.’ wearing a cardigan/sweater naked is a choice, dude. a choice.
i wish they didn’t end up together - all they do is bring out the worst in each other from what i read & they seem to have a lot of unresolved issues that don’t get solved in the book.
